About Stephanie

Stephanie, a lifelong Alaskan, has dedicated her career to making a positive impact through the non-profit sector. In 2003, she initiated an in-home childcare service, eventually founding a childcare center that served up to 20 families annually. In 2008, her commitment led her to join the Alaska Family Childcare Association (AFCCA), where she served as the conference chair and later became the Treasurer.

In 2013, Stephanie moved to Ellensburg, Washington, and quickly became an integral part of the community. She took on the role of Treasurer for the local community swim team and assumed a position with the Youth Services Mentoring Program as the Program Coordinator. Over time, she progressed to become the Director of Outreach and Programs.

Stephanie’s dedication extended to the Upper Kittitas County Rotary Club, where she held leadership positions and served as President from 2022 to 2023. She additionally holds a board of directors position with the Ellensburg Downtown Association.

In 2022, Stephanie transitioned to the role of Director of Outreach and Economic Vitality at the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce. Here, she continued her mission of supporting and enabling the local community through entrepreneurship and economic development opportunities.

In June 2023, Stephanie took on the role of Area Director for Kittitas County Habitat for Humanity, a position she enthusiastically embraced, seeing it as a perfect alignment with her extensive experience and deep passion for making a positive and lasting impact in her local community.

About Delano

Delano Palmer serves as the Director of Capital Planning & Projects at Central Washington University, holding a pivotal role within the Office of Operations. In this capacity, he oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of significant capital projects funded by the State. Delano brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his position, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Texas Tech University and a master’s in building construction management from Purdue University.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Delano is actively engaged in community service. He holds a board directors’ position with Habitat for Humanity Seattle, King, and Kittitas Counties. Additionally, he plays a vital role in the Real Estate and Construction Committee and the Retail Committee, showcasing his commitment to contributing to the betterment of his community through both his professional and volunteer endeavors.

Melissa is a seasoned loan officer with Academy Mortgage in Kittitas County, bringing over 10 years of invaluable experience to her role. Throughout her career, her primary focus and greatest source of fulfillment have been helping individuals achieve the dream of homeownership. Melissa firmly believes in the transformative power of owning a home, viewing it as a vehicle for wealth building, promoting mental and physical well-being, and contributing to the foundation of a happy and stable family.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Melissa is deeply committed to community service. She has dedicated significant time to working with Habitat for Humanity, an organization that is very meaningful to her. Her involvement in the Local Council of Habitat for Humanity reflects her appreciation of the families she gets to help. Melissa’s dedication shines through in the genuine appreciation she feels for the opportunity to contribute to Habitat for Humanity’s mission.

Outside of her professional and community commitments, you will find Melissa enjoying quality time with her husband and friends in the mountains. About Brooke

Brooke holds the role of AVP Central Cascade Manager at Umpqua Bank, where she oversees branches in Cle Elum, Ellensburg, and Moses Lake. Originally from Tacoma, WA, Brooke brought with her a dedication to community betterment and a passion for housing and community development when she relocated to Ellensburg.

Actively engaged in the community, Brooke has made significant contributions, dedicating over 550 volunteer hours to various local non-profits in Kittitas County. One noteworthy organization she supports is Habitat for Humanity, where she leverages her 15 years of retail banking expertise to champion affordable housing initiatives. Brooke’s commitment to community service is evident in her active role within Habitat for Humanity, aligning with her values of building stronger and more resilient communities.

Beyond her professional and community commitments, Brooke finds fulfillment in her farm life, caring for 24 animals. Her love for the outdoors is evident in her engagement in various outdoor activities.

About Jackie

Jackie’s journey is a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to community service. Growing up in North Bend, WA, with a nurse mother and a master home builder father, Jackie was immersed in the world of productivity and business logistics from a young age. By seven, she was already contributing to her family’s business by handling accounts payable ledgering on job sites. Her entrepreneurial spirit blossomed at the age of 12 when she ran her own business selling snacks and gum from the back of the school bus.

Jackie’s commitment to community service emerged early on, as she began hosting non-profit events at 16, with proceeds dedicated to building support bridges. Always attuned to community needs, she developed a knack for systematically bringing together ecosystems to provide end-to-end solutions.

Embarking on her professional career at 19 in real estate, Jackie purchased her first home at the age of 20. Juggling roles in nursing during the day and real estate at night, she demonstrated versatility and a strong work ethic. At 27, she ventured into Microsoft, laying the groundwork for a startup in Azure IoT, a global project that combined her passions.

Jackie’s career took on a variety of titles and projects, leading to numerous successes. However, in January 2023, she redirected her path and is currently a full-time student, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business with a minor in finance.

Beyond her professional and academic pursuits, Jackie is a master scuba diver and an active Rotarian. Her love for the outdoors, travel, and quality time with her partner reflects a well-rounded and adventurous lifestyle that complements her dedication to education and community service.

Sue has seamlessly integrated into the vibrant community of Ellensburg, finding a deep connection with its residents over the past several years. Currently, she plays a crucial role as the project director for the Care Coordination program at Kittitas County Health Network, having led the program for the past three years.

Originally from Southern California, Sue pursued education and nursing studies at Arizona State University. Her academic foundation laid the groundwork for a career in public health and social services, where she has dedicated the last 16 years to making a positive impact on the lives of others. Sue’s passion lies in assisting individuals in coping with and overcoming challenges, empowering them to lead healthy and happy lives.

Beyond her professional commitments, Sue’s interests are as diverse as her contributions to the community. Whether it’s fishing, hiking, rockhounding, gardening, or raising chickens, she finds joy in embracing the natural beauty of the area. Sue’s loyal companion, her lab Maggie, often accompanies her as she explores the picturesque surroundings. Sue’s commitment to both her work and community service, coupled with her love for outdoor pursuits, paints a holistic picture of a compassionate individual dedicated to enhancing the well-being of those around her.

Her passion lies in assisting the community, with a particular focus on serving underserved and rural populations.

Beyond her professional commitments, Jessica finds joy in exploring the world and experiencing new cultures and cuisines. Her adventurous spirit has led her to visit 15 countries, and she continues to maintain an extensive list of future trips she plans to embark on. Jessica’s commitment to community service and her love for travel showcase her dynamic personality and dedication to both local and global engagement.

Whitney is a dedicated professional, currently serving as a relationship banker at the Ellensburg branch of Umpqua Bank. Simultaneously, she takes on the role of Next Gen Coordinator at Ellensburg Foursquare Church, showcasing her commitment to community and youth development.

Originally drawn to Ellensburg in 2014 to pursue her education at CWU, Whitney found a deep connection to the area. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in communications studies and a minor in family studies, she chose to stay in Ellensburg to intern at a local church. Whitney’s love for the community is evident, and she has embraced the supportive environment Ellensburg offers.

Whitney is particularly passionate about raising up the next generation and developing young leaders. Beyond her professional and community engagements, she enjoys traveling and immersing herself in different cultures during her off time. Whitney’s dedication to both her career and her commitment to nurturing the next generation reflects her vibrant spirit and the positive impact she seeks to make in Ellensburg.

Cassey Henrickson, a valued member of the Ellensburg community since 2013, initially moved to the area for her studies at CWU. Alongside her now-husband, they made the decision to stay and contribute to the vibrant community they had come to love.

Cassey’s involvement in the community has been diverse, showcasing her adaptability and commitment to public service. She has served as a Deputy Clerk for the Superior Court, bringing her skills to the legal realm. Additionally, she took on the role of Administrative Director of Youth Services of Kittitas County, demonstrating her dedication to supporting and empowering the youth in the community.

In her ongoing commitment to community service, Cassey fells joining forces with Habitat for Humanity will help her contribute to the community in a new capacity. Her multifaceted experience and dedication to making a positive impact highlight Cassey’s role as a valuable asset to the Ellensburg community.

Chauntelle is making a meaningful impact in the Ellensburg community through her role at Hopesource, where she assists families with energy and rental assistance. Her journey to Ellensburg began with a vision for a better future for her and her two small daughters, leading her to attend CWU.
